Different Decades

So, what I did here was actually pretty cool! I created a person (the character I used was a character from my story named Maya Lynn Murray) dressed in different clothes from different decades and included 2 important symbols from each decade.


1900's - So, I created a woman from the 1900's dressed in what a teacher would wear to a schoolhouse. The two symbols (a book and a quill) represent the education children got in the 1900's.


1920's - So, I created a woman from the 1920's dressed in a black frilly dress, black tights and a top hat. Now, I know this isn't really 1920's (I tried looking for a 20's flapper outfit, but this is all I found). The two symbols (2 different hats from the 1920's) represent the intrest 1920's women had in hats.


1930's - So, I created a woman from the 1930's dressed in what you'd commonly see women dressed in. The two symbols (2 1930's cadillacs) represent the love of cars in the 1930's.


1940's - So, I created a woman from the 1940's dressed in what you'd see a woman dressed in around the time of the war. The two symbols (a 1940's fighter jet and an anti-natzi's symbol) represent America's contribute in World War II against the Natzi's (Germany) in the 1942 to 1945.


1950's - So, I created a woman from the 1950's dressed in a poodle skirt and the original shoes for the 1950's outfits. The two symbols (a 1950's bug and a NASA symbol) represent the car models of the 1950's and the sudden alien obsession that broke out in the 1950's.


1960's - So, I created a woman from the 1960's dressed in a short black skirt and, well, pretty much dressed in black. The two symbols (2 peace signs) represent the anti-war that was going on. In the 1960's, young American boys were fighting over in Vietnam, which is why the 1960's symbol is a peace sign. We shouldn't have been there in Vietnam because it was their civil war, so our country had been all anti-war.


1970's - So, I created a woman from the 1970's dressed in the common hippie look. The two symbols (a hippie gutair and 1975 vintage computer) represent the 70's love for music and the original design of a computer.


1980's - So, I created a woman from the 1980's dressed in leg warmers, tights, and a common dance practice outfit. The two symbols (a music note and a boombox) that represent the 80's love for constantly listening and/or dancing to music.


1990's - So, I created a woman from the 1990's dressed in a normal outfit, since the 1990's weren't exactly that much different from this century. The two symbols (a 1990's cell phone model and the global internet) represent the first cellular phone and the internet.


2000's - So, I created a woman from this century dressed in normal clothing. The two symbols (a DVD and a laptop) represent today's technology that has improved over the years.


It's amazing how much you learn when ur bored.....
